Xingyu Wu

Asia-Pacific Consultant

Our teammate Xingyu Wu, a native of Sichuan, specializes in economics and law and supports the ECY team as our Asia Pacific Advisor. Xingyu Wu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics with honors from UC Irvine. He deepened his academic background by completing his master’s degree in Innovation Economics, Law and Regulation at the University of Southern California as an honor student. His education blended both economics and law disciplines and Wu specialized in related areas of law and economics such as Competition Law, Venture Law, Intellectual Property, International Trade and Economics. 

Research Experience

Carrying his academic success to the research field, Wu is conducting a comprehensive quantitative analysis study on China’s economic rise under the supervision of Prof. Diederik Vandewalle from Dartmouth College. Within the scope of this project, he analyzes data on topics such as special economic zones, export strategies, the Belt and Road Initiative, and models with languages such as R and Python.
